This is the home of scene studies I plan to add to in order to practice and strengthen my understanding of light and color in digital painting, but also stylizing real world imagery.
The first two subjects I chose were from Outlander, which is a show that is IMPECCABLY shot and would provide a variety of beautiful and interesting challenges in terms of light and its many expressions.
Aside from Jules I think Kat was my favorite character on Euphoria. You remember that girl in highschool who was smart but sometimes mistook cynicism as maturity? They haven't learned that it has to be applied like salt: a little is good and too much ruins things.⠀
⠀
She seemed to be working past it though, as were a lot of us when we were younger.⠀

Euphoria is the polar opposite of Outlander in just about everything: time, place, lighting, color, camera work. Its also more experimental and impressionistic in its use of lighting and camera work in order to get in the headspace of its characters, some of whom are chemically imbalanced and/or overly stimulated by outside forces.
